Basic Research

In the area of basic research, the study "The total reversal of harmful effects of organophosphate pesticides after treatment with a homeopathic medication in the DL50 model on mice" was presented at the last SINAPIH (May 2004).

Another basic study was undertaken at the end of 2003 on the same subject:
"Behavioral assessment after use of homeopathic medication of adult offspring of mice that were pregnant when exposed to metamidophos".
(metamidophos- an agrochemical substance classified as highly toxic – trade name- Tamaron)

The aforementioned studies were carried out by the Marilia Medical School in partnership with the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Botucatu, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and Federal Fluminense University (UFF), and are in the process of publication.

Two more complementary basic research projects are in print, comparing the FAO model with other treatments adopted for de-intoxication by organophosphates. A comparative study is made between the classic homeopathic treatment by indexing the acute state of intoxication through these chemical agents, treatment with the factors, and allopathic intervention using atropine sulfate.
